Full description

Fancy an epic plan on horseback, with views that look like the Wild West and a picnic with a panoramic view of the End of the World?

Then hop on this thrilling 4 hour ride through the Granada Geopark, riding through gullies, mountains and formations that look like they're from another planet. You'll help groom the horses and learn the basics of connecting with your new four-legged companion. Then it's on to adventure: galloping through gullies, crossing a gorge, picnicking at the top with amazing views, and passing through Paulenca, a curious troglodyte village that looks like it's from another century.

What we will do

We will meet 15 minutes before the agreed time in Guadix, right in the heart of the Geopark of Granada, on the hidden face of the Sierra Nevada. There we will start the adventure with a very special first contact: we will go together to pick up the horses from the corraliza, take them to the preparation area, brush them, put on the harness and share a few quiet minutes to get to know them closely. Our friendly equestrian guide will explain the basics so that we can understand how to ride them, and how to communicate better with them from the very beginning. It will be a time of authentic connection and learning before we head out on the trail.

Then, we will be assigned a horse according to our profile, and we will go out in a group, always accompanied by our guide. The groups are small, with a maximum of 4 people, so the experience is very close and personalised.

Once we are ready and with our helmets on, we will begin the 2 hour ride. We will ride towards the famous Mirador del Fin del Mundo, enjoying panoramic views of badlands, gullies and the Altiplano that stretches all the way to Sierra Nevada. We will ride through rock formations, with the dry scent of the earth and the sensation of being in a different scenery. We will reach the gorge section, which we will walk through for 500-600 metres or so, then mount our horses to continue.

We will stop for a picnic at the top, where we will rest for a while, take photos and share a bite to eat with a view. The picnic, as well as delicious, can vary but usually includes classic sandwiches such as mortadella, ham or cheese, accompanied by cool drinks: soft drinks, beer or water. .. . and with these views everything tastes better! Afterwards, we will ride back to Paulenca de Guadix, the troglodyte village with underground dwellings, to soak up the living culture of the place. We will continue along the rambla, seeing erosion of the terrain, steep reliefs and surprisingly beautiful formations all along the way.

At the end of the adventure, we will return to the horse ranch after riding around 16 km of unique scenery, stories, sights and excitement.

All in all it will be 4 hours of fun, discovery and connection that you will want to repeat.
