4-hour carriage ride with picnic in the Granada Geopark

Embark on a trip like the ones of yesteryear, in an authentic horse-drawn carriage.

Dare to live a 4-hour adventure through the spectacular Granada Geopark, between gullies, mountains and landscapes that look like something out of the Wild West. We will stop for a picnic with panoramic views, and continue to Paulenca, a picturesque troglodyte village where you will feel like you have travelled back in time.

What we will do

We will meet 15 minutes before the agreed time in Guadix, right in the heart of the Geopark of Granada, on the hidden face of the Sierra Nevada. There we will be welcomed by our friendly guide, who will tell us about the routes we will follow and answer all our questions before we start.

Then, we will get into the spacious and comfortable covered carriage, with capacity for 10 to 12 people, an authentic horse-drawn carriage like the ones from the old days, which will make us feel like we are on a journey to the past.

Once we are ready, we will start our 2 hour drive to the famous Mirador del Fin del Mundo, enjoying panoramic views of badlands, gullies and the high plateau that extends to the Sierra Nevada. We'll ride through rock formations, with the dry scent of the earth and the feeling of being in a Wild West setting.

We will stop for a picnic where we will rest for a while, take photos and share a bite to eat with wonderful views. The picnic, as well as being delicious, can vary, but usually includes classic sandwiches such as bologna, ham or cheese, accompanied by cool drinks: soft drinks, beer or water. .. and with these views everything tastes better!

Afterwards, we will get back in the carriage to head towards Paulenca de Guadix, the picturesque troglodyte village with its underground dwellings, where we can soak up the living culture of the place. We will continue along the rambla, seeing erosion of the terrain, steep reliefs and surprisingly beautiful formations along the way.

At the end of the adventure, we will return to the starting point after walking around 16 km through unique landscapes, stories, views and a lot of excitement, in a total of 4 hours including preparations, the whole route and the picnic.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone and no previous experience is required.

Minors can participate accompanied by a responsible adult or with a signed authorisation.

If you have reduced mobility or use a wheelchair, you can participate, but it will be necessary to inform the organisers in advance. You will receive the contact details in your booking confirmation email.

Other information

The activity is available all year round, and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.

The carriage is of the garden type, spacious and comfortable, with a canvas roof and curtained windows, designed in the style of the old horse-drawn omnibuses, with capacity for 10-12 people.

Accompanying persons and pets can wait quietly in the ranch. Only docile and well-controlled dogs are allowed on the route in front of the horses to ensure a safe experience for all.

Free parking is available on site.

The meeting point is accessible by public transport. There is a city bus stop just 200 metres from the ranch, although with limited frequency.
