Initiation flight of approximately 30 minutes near Madrid

There are ways of getting to know the mountains of Madrid. .. and then there's seeing it from the cockpit of a light aircraft.

Experience an introductory flight of about 30 minutes from Villanueva del Pardillo with a professional pilot. You will fly over the most beautiful places in Madrid and emblematic landscapes such as the Escorial Monastery or the Cross of the Fallen.

When the plane stabilises, you can take the controls and feel like a real pilot. But be careful: flying is addictive.

What we will do

Your appointment is at the indicated time at the Villanueva del Pardillo aerodrome, where you will be met by the pilot. He will explain how the experience will unfold, the basic safety rules and the general operation of the ultralight aircraft.

Then it's time to settle into the cockpit and fasten your seatbelt. The pilot will use this time to go over the main controls and explain how to share control during the flight. He will be in charge of the runway taxi and take-off, explaining each step so that you can follow the procedure like a real pilot in training.

As soon as the plane stabilises in the air, it's your moment. Under the pilot's supervision, you will be able to take the controls and feel what it's like to control an aircraft. It will be a unique moment flying over unique landscapes such as the Escorial Monastery or the Cross of the Fallen. And you will be able to relive it all with the video of the moment.

At the end of the approximately 30 minute flight, the instructor will take full control of the aircraft to start the approach and landing back in Villanueva del Pardillo. Before you say goodbye, you will still have a few minutes to comment on the adventure and take some souvenir photos.

The total duration of the experience is approximately 1 hour, with 30 minutes of flight time.

Who it is aimed at

This is a first flight experience.

The minimum age to take the controls of the aircraft is 16 years old. Under this age, it is possible to do the experience only as a passenger. Please contact the pilot for more information about this possibility. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

Minors need a signed permission from a legal guardian to participate.

The aircraft has a high wing, which makes boarding easier for people with motor disabilities.

Other information

The experience is available all year round, except in July and August (months when weather conditions make flying difficult; the best time to fly is in winter) .

Please note: the duration of the flight is approximate and may vary depending on weather and atmospheric conditions.

You will fly in a Sky Ranger two-seater microlight with dual controls and a completely transparent cockpit.

The experience includes a video souvenir that the pilot will record with your smartphone and that you can receive via message or email.

At the airfield there is a bar at the foot of the runway where you can wait for your companions. Pets are allowed on a leash.

Free parking is available at the airfield. The area is difficult to reach by public transport; the nearest bus stop is approximately 1 km away.
