15-minute beginner's flight near Madrid

Get ready for your first experience in the world of aviation with the mountains of Madrid at your feet.

Take off from the Villanueva del Pardillo aerodrome and enjoy a 15-minute introductory flight over the Guadarrama Regional Park and the Valmayor reservoir, always with an expert instructor .

Take the controls under his supervision and feel the thrill of being a pilot.

What we will do

You will arrive at the Villanueva del Pardillo aerodrome at the time indicated in your booking, where you will be met by the pilot. He will explain how the experience will be carried out, the basic safety rules and the general operation of the ultralight aircraft.

While you settle into the cockpit and fasten your seatbelt, the pilot will go over the main controls and show you how you can share control during the flight. He will take you through the runway taxi and take-off, explaining each step so that you can follow the procedure like a real trainee pilot .

As soon as you are in the air and the plane is stabilised, the introductory flight over the Guadarrama Regional Park will begin . For about 15 minutes you will enjoy the views of the mountains of Madrid, the Valmayor reservoir and other landscapes of the northwest of the Community. Under the supervision of the pilot, who will also make you a souvenir video, you can take the controls to feel what it's like to control an aircraft.

After the flight, the instructor will take full control to start the approach and landing back in Villanueva del Pardillo. Before you say goodbye, you will still have a few minutes to talk about the adventure and take some souvenir photos.

The total duration of the experience will be about 30 minutes, with approximately 15 minutes of flight time.

Who it is aimed at

This is a first flight experience.

The minimum age to take the controls of the aircraft is 16 years old. Under this age, it is possible to do the experience only as a passenger. Please contact the pilot for more information about this possibility. You will receive the contact details in the booking confirmation email.

Minors need a signed permission from a legal guardian to participate.

The aircraft has a high wing, which makes boarding easier for people with motor disabilities.

Other information

The experience is available all year round, except in July and August (months when weather conditions make flying difficult; the best time to fly is in winter) .

Please note: the duration of the flight is approximate and may vary depending on weather and atmospheric conditions.

You will fly in a Sky Ranger two-seater microlight with dual controls and a completely transparent cockpit.

The experience includes a video souvenir that the pilot will record with your smartphone and that you can receive via message or email.

At the airfield there is a bar at the foot of the runway where you can wait for your companions. Pets are allowed on a leash.

Free parking is available at the airfield. The area is difficult to reach by public transport; the nearest bus stop is approximately 1 km away.
