Amidst hundred-year-old beech trees and fresh air, you will discover that the Quebres Forest is best enjoyed on horseback.
Embark on a 1-hour ride along gentle trails in the Picos de Europa, on a route guided by a qualified instructor and perfect for beginners and families looking for a quiet, safe and connected with nature plan.
What we will do
We will meet at the agreed time at the meeting point in Fuente Dé, where the qualified guide will welcome us and explain how the route will develop. We will meet the horses, put on our helmets -and waistcoats if requested- and, when the whole group is ready, we will begin the experience.
We will start our 1 hour horseback riding route going directly into the Quebres Forest, a mature and leafy beech forest within the Picos de Europa National Park. We will ride along gentle and accessible trails through imposing beech trees, fresh vegetation and a natural environment that invites you to disconnect from the first minute.
During the walk, the guide will tell us interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, while we enjoy the lively surroundings and the views of emblematic mountains such as La Padiorna, Peñas Cifuentes and Remoña. It is a quiet ride, ideal for first-time riders and families.
We will return to the starting point after a relaxed ride, perfect to enjoy the nature of the Quebres Forest and the charm of the Picos de Europa.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Minors can participate accompanied by a responsible adult.
This route is an easy level, ideal even if it is your first time on horseback.
To guarantee the wellbeing of the horses, the maximum weight allowed is 115 kg.
The activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or pregnant women.

The activity is available from mid-June to September.
Groups are small, with a maximum of 8 participants per guide.
Parking is available on site .
The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
